1. Institutional Membership

This category of membership shall be open to any R&D institution, Central/State Agricultural universities and NGOs engaged in activities related to promotion of agriculture as also activities coming under purview of TAAS

The institutional members shall have to pay Rs.5.0 lakh as onetime payment relaxable in case of NGOs depending upon their financial status. The following terms & conditions shall govern institutional membership:

  • All the members shall be eligible for participating in all relevant functions organized by TAAS. They shall be represented by their Chairman/Vice-Chancellors/Nodal Officers or a Senior Representative under intimation to TAAS during such occasion
  • All institutional members shall receive a copy of all publications including recommendations of brainstorming sessions, discussions, policy papers, proceedings of all technical conference/symposia conducted by TAAS
  • They shall also be invited to participate in the Annual Foundation Day and Annual Award Ceremony or any other activity organized by TAAS
  • TAAS shall also issue a certificate to the effect of being their Institutional Membership

 

2. Life Membership

This membership shall be available to individual working in agriculture or related discipline relevant to the mandate of TAAS. Such memberships will be governed by the following rules:

  • The Life Membership fee for individual is Rs.20,000/- as onetime payment
  • All life members shall be entitled to receive a copy of TAAS publications including recommendations of brainstorming sessions, discussions, policy papers, proceedings of all technical conference/symposia conducted by TAAS during their lifetime for a period of 25 years
  • Thet shall also be eligible to participate in relevant events organized in India by TAAS and shall be exempted from registration fee

3. Travel Grants

TAAS proposes to have corpus fund for travel grant to Scientists invited for participation in International Conferences/Symposia. The following conditions shall govern eligibility:

  • These fellowships shall be available only to young individual scientists within age group of 40 years
  • Suitable grants shall be considered for those whose paper is accepted for presentation in any symposium organized by a recognized society or organization on production of proof for the same
  • The contribution of TAAS shall be offered for payment of registration fee or travel expenses as the case may be limited to Rs.35,000/- depending upon country in which function is to be organized
  • There shall be no advertisement for such grant and applicant shall approach as and when required depending upon organization of various functions
